Common Sounds
ITPS Podcast “Public History in a Virtual Age” is back! New host Dr. John Winters announces Season 2 of the ITPS Podcast, with Episode 1 featuring Dr. Ora Marek Martinez (Northern Arizona University). In Season 2, Winters looks much more closely at a subject in the public humanities that is not often discussed: Indigenous Public History. His guests this season include indigenous public history practitioners, academics, and cultural leaders, as well as non-indigenous public history practitioners. They will talk about their experience in Indigenous Public History, their successes and challenges in the field, and more broadly about the responsibilities and ethics of doing “activist” and decolonized public history. Listen to Season 2, Episode 1 and subscribe here!

The ITPS was absolutely thrilled to host Dean Tomiko Brown-Nagin, Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study and the Daniel P.S. Farley, this event highlighted Dean Brown-Nagin’s new book, Civil Rights Queen: Constance Baker Motley and the Struggle for Equality, published by Pantheon Books in January 2022.
Common Words

And check out this piece from Chervisnky’s newsletter Imperfect Union, which considers unionism and sectional difference. Enjoy!
